The windows of St. Rose of Lima church honor several saints. St. Rose herself is depicted in the large window above the main entrance to the narthex. Within the sanctuary, St. Joseph, the father of Jesus, and Christ are pictured above the south entrance and Mary, the mother of Jesus, stands with her son above the north entrance. The 28 windows paired throughout the sanctuary depict 14 male and 14 female saints who represent the stages of life and redemption. They are truly our “companions on the journey” as we grow in union with Christ.
#1 Joachim and Anne represent parents and grandparents, our beginnings earthly life and earliest teachers.
#2 Thomas More and Rita continue the theme of family and responsibility, saints who sacrificed for marriage, children, and community.
