• The windows of St. Rose of Lima church honor several saints. St. Rose herself is depicted in the large window above the main entrance to the narthex.  Within the sanctuary, St. Joseph, the father of Jesus, and Christ are pictured above the south entrance and Mary, the mother of Jesus, stands with her son above the north entrance.  The 28 windows paired throughout the sanctuary depict 14 male and 14 female saints who represent the stages of life and redemption. They are truly our “companions on the journey” as we grow in union with Christ.

  #6 Peter and Brigid represent the founders, those who establish formal communities of seekers who share our journey.
   
    #7 Paul and Magdalene represent our stumbling progress toward perfection and our need for reconciliation.
   
  #8 John Vianney and Therese of Lisieux represent the generous  intercession and comfort for sinners that encourage repentance.
   
  #9 Augustine and Monica demonstrate the tenacity needed to persevere on our prayer journey.
   
  #10 Maximilian Kolbe and Joan of Arc represent both the physical and moral courage needed to overcome temptations.
   
  #11 Gregory and Cecilia, musicians, acknowledge the role of liturgy as a support and guide.
   
  #12 Vincent DePaul and Katharine Drexel remind us of the corporal works of mercy through which we share the journey with others.
   
  #13 Francis of Assisi and Clare of Assisi expand that sharing to the poverty of spirit necessary to enter the kingdom of God.
   
  #14 John of the Cross and Jane Frances De Chantal, mystics, represent our union with Christ.
